In tribute because I think we all still seek comfort over what happened, but don't overlook the fact that you can offer comfort to others--even if they are just moments of comfort.
I think it's important to reassure the family and friends that their lost loved ones' fingerprints don't fade from the lives they've touched.
I made a video last year for my bloggy friends that I never went in and tried to edit or work more on my video skills but the message still holds true. To revisit that video go here.
I find comfort in the Remembrance ceremonies.
May you find moments of comfort today.

Well said, kiTT.
Thank you.
I am feeling quite speechless and restless today. I have cried, I have remembered but I can not find any comfort today. I actually think that might be a good thing. No complacency for me, no settling. Honor those who are gone but also those who are still here.
Thank you to those who fight for my freedom. I hope I live a life that honors you.
very well said kiTT. sending hugs.
@kiTT, You comfort by just reaching out each and every time you do, like this one. So tastefully done, so warmly said.
@ Lisa, who has brought me hours of comfort, she is my soft place to land...the banner is so artfully done and looking at it makes me proud to know you and be part of this community and of course to this country,
You know what that video does to me. Amazing!
Well said - I hope that we can find a bit of comfort even if there are lots of tears.
I loved the truths in your video and the statement in last years post...I choose to believe Remember Me is a reminder to celebrate life.
It's what we do in our day to day. Sometimes it's hard to focus on what's truly important to us as we get caught up in life but I feel we need to count our blessings and enjoy life.
I too did not find any comfort today. Every year this day saddens me. The number of people who died doesn't matter, whether it was 2700 or 2, they are no longer able to hug a child, kiss their spouse or call their Mother. The men and women who tried to save as many as they could are now dealing with debilating illnesses because of what they were exposed to. The only comfort I find is that there are so many others, like you, Lisa and the other women believe as I do. We Will Never Forget. If I learned anything in the last ten years, it's dance, laugh, smile, make someone else smile and lend a hand. Thank You kiTT for this post.
Just a wonderful post, kiTT and LIsa! The altar is gorgeous and the sentiment is heart-felt. Thank you both for this post.
Thanks for the lovely sentiments, girlz. I wish like hell we didn't have to celebrate an event like this but in doing so, we are reminded of how fragile life is and how important it is to not take people we care about for granted. I'm blessed to have all of you in my life.
Thanks, kiTT, for asking me to make the avi, for the simplicity of this post that speaks volumes, and sharing your video again. You know what I'm going to say, right? Right. I love you. XO
PS: Fran, why you gotta make me cry? XO
